THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE)

The Human Centipede is all spectacle, no substance. Is it a trip to see what happens to these people? Yes. But what normally makes a horror film scary is the fear that what you're watching could happen to you (the call coming from inside the house, home invasion, serial killer, etc.) I, however, am not afraid of being turned into a human centipede and it didn't really scare me...just grossed me out.  And once the creation is unveiled, the movie becomes your standard will they or won't they escape cliche. Instead of giving you the chills, centipede merely turns your stomach.
